When viewing Temu orders in ConnectBooks, you may notice that the Amount matches the Subtotal from Temu's order export, while the Fees column shows $0.00. This is expected.
Why?
Temu works differently from most marketplaces.
Instead of charging you a marketplace fee, you set the amount you want to receive for an item. Temu can choose to sell the item for a higher price and keeps the difference.
For example:
You set your sale price to $20
Temu sells it for $25
Temu keeps $5
You receive $20
From your perspective, your sale is $20, not $25 with a $5 fee.
How ConnectBooks imports Temu orders
ConnectBooks imports the amount you actually set as the sale price.
For example, if the Temu export shows:
Retail Price: $41.74
Service Fee: -$4.74
Subtotal: $37.00
ConnectBooks imports:
Amount: $37.00
Fees: $0.00
The service fee is not imported as a marketplace fee because it is simply the difference between Temu's selling price and the price you set.
Is this expected?
Yes. This is intentional. ConnectBooks reports the amount you actually earned from the sale, which matches the payout reported by Temu.
