How to connect Claude to ConnectBooks

Use the ConnectBooks MCP server to ask Claude about your sales and profit.

Connect Claude to ConnectBooks so you can ask about your sales and profit in plain words. Claude can only read your data.

Before you start

  • You need a Claude account. A free one works.

  • AI apps must be turned on in AI apps, then Settings. Only the account owner can do this.

  • Not the owner? Ask them for the AI Connections and Profit Report permissions in Users.

Step 1: Copy the link

  1. Open Integrations.

  2. Select Claude, and click Connect, then Copy.

Step 2: Add it to Claude

  1. Open Connectors in Claude.

  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.

  3. Type ConnectBooks, paste the link, click Continue, then Add.

  4. Sign in to ConnectBooks and click Allow.

Step 3: Ask a question

Open a new chat and ask something like:

  • Show my profit for the last 30 days.

  • Which SKUs lost money this month?

What Claude can see

Claude sees your profit report and single orders, for the stores you can see in ConnectBooks. It can't see settlements, inventory or listings.

FAQ

I'm on a Team or Enterprise plan.

An owner adds ConnectBooks once in Organization settings, then Connectors. Then each member clicks Connect in Connectors.

How do I disconnect?

Open AI apps, click the Claude connection, then Disconnect.

The Connect button is grayed out.

AI apps are turned off. Ask your account owner to turn them on.

I see "This connection did not work."

The link expired. Add the connector again in Connectors.
