The Alert Report tells you when the fulfillment fee you pay per unit changes on a product.
How it works
The fulfillment fee is what the marketplace charges to pack and ship your order. ConnectBooks looks at the orders for each product as your store syncs, and compares the fee per unit on each order with the order just before it for the same product. When the fee is different, a new alert shows on the Alerts page as Active, and you can ignore it once you've checked it.
To open the Alert Report:
Click Reports in the main menu, then click Sales.
Under Alert Report, click the Alert Report card.
The Alerts page opens and loads right away. There is no Run Report button. At first it shows Active alerts from the past month for all your stores.
To filter the alerts:
Type in Search to find a product by its SKU, ASIN, title, description or QuickBooks item name.
Click the Stores menu, pick the stores you want, then click Apply. If you have more than 1 store and all are picked, it shows Stores: All.
Click the date range, pick the dates (or a shortcut like Last 30 Days or Last Month), then click Apply.
Use the status menu on the right to show Active alerts, ignored alerts (Ignore) or All.
Columns
Date: the date of the newer order, the one with the new fee.
Product: the product's picture and details.
Description: for example "Fulfillment fee changed from $3.22 to $3.48". The new fee is red when it went up and green when it went down.
Marketplace: the store the order came from.
More: the 3 dots menu, with Ignore.
To see the 2 orders behind an alert:
Click the text in the Description column.
Read the window that opens. It shows the product and its SKU, then each order with its date, Order Number and Fulfillment Fee, and how much the fee went up or down.
To ignore alerts:
For 1 alert, click the 3 dots in the More column, then click Ignore.
For several, tick the box next to each alert (or the box at the top to pick every alert on the page), then click Ignore All Selected.
You'll see "Alert Status Successfully Updated". Ignored alerts leave the Active list.
To make an ignored alert active again:
Set the status menu to Ignore.
Tick the alerts you want back.
Click Mark Selected Active.
To export the alerts:
Set the filters you want.
Click Export.
You get an Excel file with every alert that matches your filters, not only the ones on this page. It has these columns: Date, Channel, Asin, Sku, Description, Old Amount, Old OrderId, New Amount and New OrderId.
Things to know
The report only watches the fulfillment fee. Other fees don't create alerts.
Fee per unit = the fulfillment fee on that product's line of the order ÷ the units on that line.
Fees show as positive amounts.
Alerts show only on the Alerts page. Nothing is emailed.
Alerts have 2 statuses: Active and Ignore. There is no separate Resolve step.
Ignoring an alert only hides it. It doesn't change your fees, your reports or anything sent to QuickBooks.
If your access to products is limited, you only see alerts for the products you can see.
Frequently asked questions
Why did I get an alert?
The fulfillment fee per unit on a newer order was different from the order before it for the same product. Click the Description to see both orders.
Where did my alert go?
It may be ignored, or it may be outside the date range. Set the status menu to All and widen the dates.
Does ignoring an alert fix anything?
No. It only takes the alert off your Active list. If a fee looks wrong, check it with the marketplace.
I don't see Sales under Reports.
