The FBA Return Report lists the items customers sent back to Amazon's warehouses.
How it works
FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) means Amazon stores and ships your products for you. ConnectBooks pulls Amazon's FBA customer returns report for each of your Amazon stores. Each row is 1 return, with Amazon's reason, disposition (the condition Amazon gave the item) and status. When Amazon updates a return, ConnectBooks updates the same row.
To open the FBA Return Report:
Click Reports in the main menu, then click Inventory.
Under FBA Reports, click FBA Return Report.
The FBA Return Report opens and runs on its own for the last 7 days and all your Amazon stores.
To run it for other dates or stores:
Click the Stores menu, pick the Amazon stores you want, then click Done.
Click the date box and pick a range, like Last 30 Days or Last Month, or choose your own dates.
To look up 1 product or order, click Filter:
Pick SKU or ASIN, then search for the product.
Or pick Order # and type the order number. Ignore dates is ticked for you when you type an order number. Untick it to search only your date range.
Click Done.
Click Run Report.
Columns
Order Id: the Amazon order the return belongs to.
Product: the SKU (or the ASIN when you filter by ASIN) and the product name.
Marketplace: the store.
Qty: how many units came back.
Detailed Disposition: the condition Amazon gave the item, for example SELLABLE.
Reason: the return reason Amazon reports.
Status: Amazon's status for the return.
Date: the return date.
CB ID#: the ConnectBooks ID of the settlement that covers the return date. A settlement is 1 Amazon payout period.
License Plate Number: Amazon's ID for that returned unit.
Fulfillment Center: the Amazon warehouse that got the return.
Customer Comments: what the customer wrote. Hover over it to read the full comment.
The number of results shows above the table. Use the menu at the bottom to choose how many rows show on each page, and the arrows to move between pages.
To export, click Export. You get an Excel file with these columns: Order Id, License Plate Number, Date, Qty, Reason, Fulfillment Center, Detailed Disposition, Customer Comments, Status, Title, ASIN, SKU and FNSKU. The store and CB ID# are not in the file.
Things to know
Only Amazon stores show here. FBA Reports appears only if you have an Amazon store and your user has the FBA Inventory Reports permission.
Rows are in order of return date, oldest first.
Export downloads up to 50,000 rows. If you have more, narrow the date range.
If your access to stores or products is limited, you only see returns for the ones you can see.
Frequently asked questions
What does SELLABLE mean?
Amazon judged the item fit to sell again. Any other disposition means Amazon found it not sellable.
How do I find the returns for 1 order?
Click Filter, pick Order #, type the order number, click Done, then click Run Report. Ignore dates is ticked for you, so all dates are searched.
Why did a return's status change?
Amazon updated it. ConnectBooks matches each return by its License Plate Number and updates the row when Amazon sends new details.
Why don't I see a return I expected?
Check the date range and the stores you picked. The report filters by return date, not order date.
