How to reauthorize Amazon access for ConnectBooks

What to do when ConnectBooks says your Amazon store needs to be reauthorized.

Sometimes Amazon asks you to give ConnectBooks access again. Until you do, ConnectBooks can't get new orders, fees or settlements from that store.

How you'll know

On Accounting Export, a bar shows at the top of the store's page. It says either:

  • "This store requires reauthorization." with a Reauthorize button, or

  • "The API tokens for this store have expired and need to be renewed." with an Update button.

You may also see a pop-up with the same message when you log in.

Reauthorize from ConnectBooks

  1. Click Reauthorize (or Update).

  2. Log in to Amazon Seller Central if asked.

  3. Confirm that ConnectBooks can access your account.

You're sent back to ConnectBooks, and syncing starts again.

Or reauthorize from Amazon

  1. Log in to Amazon Seller Central.

  2. Find ConnectBooks and click Reauthorize.
