ConnectBooks automatically updates inventory based on SKU sales data. However, marketplace SKUs may differ from item names or variations in ConnectBooks. To ensure accurate tracking, use the Mapping Page to link each marketplace SKU to its corresponding ConnectBooks item.
1. Navigate to the Listings page from the menu, select the store you want to configure, and open the Mappings tab. The first column shows the SKU as listed in your store. The second column displays the listing type. In the third column, enter the item's name from ConnectBooks.
2. Choose the listing type.
There are three types of listing types.
Standard Item
When one marketplace SKU connects with one ConnectBooks item.
Multi-pack Item
A multi-pack is when one marketplace SKU represents a different quantity of a single ConnectBooks item.
For example, if you buy batteries individually but sell them in packs of 2, 6, or 8 on the marketplace, each pack has its own SKU. However, all these SKUs link to the same item in ConnectBooks, just with different quantities.
When setting up a multi-pack, you'll need to specify the quantity for that pack.
Important: If you buy and sell the item in the same quantity (e.g., you purchase and record a 3-pack in ConnectBooks and sell it as a 3-pack on Amazon), you can skip this field.
Group Item
This is when you sell multiple different inventory items from QuickBooks as a bundle on your store.
For Example, An Amazon seller sells a camera, a camera case, and an SD Card as one combo (packaged) item on Amazon. When you select the Group Item option, ConnectBooks allows you to map this SKU to a few different items in ConnectBooks.
When you create a group item, you need to decide how to split the sale amount between its parts, usually based on their cost. ConnectBooks can do this for you automatically by clicking "calculate".
