Filter Transactions:

By default, the reports include all transactions (Orders, adjustments refunds, etc)

To view specific types of transactions, click on the Filter dropdown in the top menu and

select the ones you want to see.

Customize Report:

Click the Customize Report dropdown in the top menu to explore different options for customizing your report.

Display items by:

Each item you sell can have multiple identifiers. You can select which name you want to view.

  • SKU - Every item has a name, this is the ConnectBooks default

  • ASIN Every item listed on Amazon has an ASIN

  • Parent ASIN - Use this option if you have many variations and want to view items by their Parent ASIN.

  • Quickbooks Item Name - Select this option if you track inventory in QuickBooks and prefer to view items by their QuickBooks item names. This feature is specifically designed for Diamond Plan users.

Group by:

You can run a report to view categories, parent ASINs, and child ASINs together. This feature is particularly useful for users interested in analyzing brands or groups of parent and child items, rather than focusing solely on individual items.

  • ASIN - This will group items by ASIN

  • Parent ASIN - Use this option if you have multiple variations and want to view items by their Parent ASIN, while also seeing the associated child ASINs.

  • Categories - If you have set up categories for your products, use this option to view items categorized accordingly.

  • Fulfillment Channels - View items based on their fulfillment channels (e.g., FBA, FBM).

  • Buyers -select this option if you have different buyers selling for your company and you want to view their individual performance.

  • Seasons - Group by seasons to view the performance of seasonal items.

  • Stores - if you have multiple stores you can group items by store to easily view the performance of individual stores.

Expand and collapse the groups, for more and less detailed information, by clicking on the + symbol.

Transaction Date by:

  • Posted Date - The day the order gets posted in your account (usually the ship date).

  • Order Date - The day the order was placed.

Every order has an order date and a posted date.

FBA orders Amazon will usually pay within a day or two when it ships.

FBM orders Amazon will usually pay seven days after it ships.

Business orders can have a month-long gap, as payment is part of separate business settlements.

Currency:

If you sell on foreign marketplaces, you can view the report in various currencies.

Cost:

  • Default Cost - We'll check QB first for the item's cost. If not found or if you've entered a cost in ConnectBooks, we'll show you the ConnectBooks cost.

  • QuickBooks Latest Cost - QB Current Average Cost

  • QuickBooks Average Cost - The real QB Real Average Cost for each period, not just the current average cost. Learn More.

  • ConnectBooks Cost - The Cost entered on ConnectBooks, on the products page.

Include Open Orders:

Open orders have not yet shipped, and their fees are still uncertain until shipment. Check this option if you want the report to include these orders with estimated fulfillment and commission fees.

Exclude Advertising:

Select this if you want to exclude advertising costs from the report calculation.

Ignore Prep Cost:

Select this if you want to exclude item prep costs from the report.

Sorting and Filtering the Report:

ConnectBooks reports offer multiple filtering and sorting options. Simply click on the search icon located on any column header to access the filters.

An example of how this can be useful is by selecting "less than" in the profit column and entering 0 to identify which items are generating losses.

Multi-Select Filter:

Click on the filter icon next to the column header to filter multiple specific products.

Column Chooser:

Click the "Column Chooser" button to customize the columns in your report. From the dropdown menu, select the desired options to display the data in separate columns. Deselect any columns you do not want to appear in your report.
