By default, ConnectBooks transfers inventory from a single warehouse for your FBA shipments. If you use multiple local warehouses to ship inventory to FBA, you will need to update the source warehouse on an FBA shipment.

Follow these steps to update the source warehouse:

πŸ”„ Step-by-Step: Changing the Source Warehouse

  1. Go to the Warehouse Transfers Page

    • In ConnectBooks, navigate to Inventory > Warehouse Transfers.

    • Click on the FBA Transfers tab.

  2. Search by Shipment ID

    • Use the search bar to enter the Shipment ID you want to update.

    • This will filter the transfers associated with that shipment.

  3. Understand the Transfer Structure
Each FBA shipment has at least two transfers per item:

    • Transfer 1: From your local warehouse β†’ InTransit

    • Transfer 2: From InTransit β†’ FBA

βœ… Only the first transfer (Local β†’ InTransit) needs to be updated.

  4. Select Transfers to Update

    • Each item in the shipment appears as a separate line.

    • Use the multi select checkbox on the left to select all the transfers going from your local warehouse to InTransit.

    • You can multi-select to update several transfers at once.

  5. Update the Source Warehouse

    • Click the Action button at the bottom.

    • Choose Change Source Warehouse.

    • Select the correct warehouse the items were actually shipped from (e.g., AWD or another local warehouse).

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • You do not need to update the InTransit β†’ FBA transfer β€” only the source transfer needs to reflect the correct warehouse.

  • This is especially useful if you're using multiple local warehouses or AWD and want to ensure inventory is deducted from the right location.
