Auto Update Buyer in ConnectStock

Automatically sync Item buyers to connected listings

The Auto Update Buyer setting automatically keeps buyers in sync between your ConnectStock Items and their connected Listings — so you don't have to manage them in two places.

When enabled, any buyer assigned to an Item will automatically be added to all Listings connected to that Item.


How to Enable

  1. Go to Stores & Files → Inventory Files → File Settings.

  2. In the left panel, click General.

  3. Toggle on Auto Update Buyer.


How It Works

  • The sync runs automatically once per day — not instantly when a buyer is assigned.

  • If an Item has buyers and is connected to one or more Listings, any buyers missing from those Listings will be added.

  • Buyers already on a Listing will not be affected.

No manual action needed.


Important Notes

  • Buyers are only added to Listings— never removed. Even if a buyer is removed from the Item later, they will remain on any Products they were already added to.

  • The sync will never create duplicate buyers.

  • This setting is only available for accounts using ConnectStock.


Example

An Item has Buyer A and Buyer B. A connected Product only has Buyer A.

After the sync, the Product will have both Buyer A and Buyer B.

If Buyer B is later removed from the Item, the Product will still keep Buyer B.


Why Use This Setting?

Reduces manual work, prevents buyer mismatches, keeps reporting consistent, and ensures visibility rules stay aligned across your items and listings.
