The Plan and Billing Page: Payment Method, Invoices and Cost Breakdown

See your plan, billing cycle, next payment date, cost breakdown and invoices, and update your credit card.

The Plan and billing page shows your plan, what makes up your bill and your past invoices, and lets you update the card you pay with.

How it works

Hover over your profile picture at the top right, then click Billing. The page has 2 tabs. The Plan tab shows your plan and cost breakdown. The Billing tab shows your payment method and invoices. Only Admin users see this page.

See your plan details

To see your plan:

  1. Hover over your profile picture at the top right.

  2. Next to Plan, click View. Or open Billing and click the Plan tab.

  3. On the left you see your plan name and:

    • Billing cycle: Monthly or Yearly.

    • Next payment (monthly plans) or Renews on (yearly plans).

    • Plan expires instead of a payment date, if you're on a custom plan.

A Lite badge or a Custom badge shows next to the plan name when it applies.

Read the cost breakdown

To see what you pay for:

  1. Open the Plan tab.

  2. Look at Cost breakdown on the right. Each row is a part of your bill:

    • Orders: monthly plans (not Lite or custom) show Orders last cycle and Monthly charge. Lite plans show Orders last cycle and Plan allowance, with a Plan row for the flat rate. Yearly plans show Orders this year, Yearly charge, Days remaining, and how much of your order tier is used.

    • Stores: how many stores you have. Click Manage to go to Stores & Files.

    • Landed Cost, other add ons and discounts, if you have any.

    • Users: how many users you have. Click Manage to go to Users. Hover over the info icon to see which users are free.

    • Crunch AI Credits, when Crunch is available on your account: how many credits are left and when they reset. Click Manage or Add credits.

    • Subtotal and Tax, when there is tax.

    • Total.

The Stores, Users and Crunch AI Credits rows say Included when they cost nothing. On Lite plans, the Orders row says Included too. Landed Cost and add on rows always show an amount.

On a custom plan, you see Custom pricing instead of Cost breakdown. It shows your price, Transactions, Platforms and Orders last cycle, and the dates your custom plan is in effect. Below it, Billed separately lists Users and, when you have them, Landed Cost, add ons, Crunch AI Credits, discounts and Tax, then the Total.

Update your payment method

To update your card:

  1. Hover over your profile picture at the top right, then click Billing.

  2. Under Payment method, click Update card.

  3. Enter the new card details and click Save card.

Your new card is used for all future charges. You can also do this from the Plan tab: click the 3 dots on the plan card, then click Update payment method.

View and download invoices

To see your invoices:

  1. Hover over your profile picture at the top right, then click Billing.

  2. Under Invoices, each row shows the Date, Amount, Card and Status.

  3. Click PDF on a row to download that invoice.

  4. Click Next or Previous to see more invoices.

Things to know

  • Only Admin users see Billing and Plan in the menu. Limited Users and accountants don't.

  • The Invoices list shows paid invoices, 10 at a time.

  • The cost breakdown comes from your last paid invoice. Before your first invoice, it's an estimate based on your plan.

  • Monthly plans (not Lite or custom): your order count is measured again at the end of each billing cycle, and the monthly charge adjusts on its own. More orders raise it, fewer orders lower it.

  • Custom plans: the price is fixed and doesn't change with your order count.

  • Yearly plans: the yearly charge covers orders up to your tier. If you go above it, your plan moves to the next tier on its own.

  • Lite plans are a flat rate with a monthly order allowance. If your orders grow past it, you move to the full plan on its own.

  • Update card is greyed out when your account is cancelled or set to not renew.

  • The 3 dots on the plan card also show Reactivate plan (when your plan is inactive), Cancel CBM (when you have the Landed Cost add on) and Cancel plan. To cancel, see How to Cancel Your ConnectBooks Account.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I see Billing in my menu?

Only Admin users can see it. Ask the account owner or an Admin to check your user type on the Users page.

Why did my monthly charge change?

On monthly plans (not Lite or custom), the charge follows your order count. It's measured again at the end of each billing cycle, so more orders raise it and fewer orders lower it.

Where can I see the prices?

This page shows your own bill, not the price list. See Plans, Pricing, and Billing.

Why is Update card greyed out?

Your account is cancelled or set to not renew. If your plan is inactive, click the 3 dots on the plan card and click Reactivate plan.
