When tracking your orders, and viewing reports, it's important to know the difference between the Order Date and the Posted Date.

Every order has an order date and a posted date, ConnectBooks has both dates for every order.

  • Order Date: This is the day the customer placed the order.

  • Posted Date: This is the day the order posts in your Amazon account, usually after it ships.

FBA Orders: Amazon usually makes the money available within a day after the order ships.

FBM Orders: Amazon typically pays you seven days after the order ships.

Business Orders: These can have a delay of up to a month because payment terms are part of a separate business agreement.

Comparing Reports

Different Amazon reports use different dates:

  • Amazon Sales Business Report: Based on Order Date.

    • When comparing this report with ConnectBooks, run your ConnectBooks reports by Order Date, and filter "Order" only.

  • Amazon Date Range Report and 1099 Form: Based on Posted Date.

    • For these comparisons, run your ConnectBooks reports by Posted Date.

Knowing which date each report uses ensures accurate comparisons and better financial tracking.
